For smokers who smoke less than 20 cigarettes a day
- If you want to stop smoking straightaway:
- Use 8-12 gums a day, up to a maximum of 15.
- Continue use for up to 3 months, then gradually reduce the number of gums per day
- When you use only 1-2 gums a day, try to stop using it altogether.
- If you want to cut down on smoking:
- Use 8-12 gums a day, up to a maximum of 15.
- Cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke per day as much as possible.
- If you have not been able to cut down the number of cigarettes you smoke after 6 weeks, talk to a healthcare professional.
